ABOUT ME
In my many years of professional activity in the theater, art and humanities, I have learned to know and love the human universe, motives for action and social interaction. So the desire to deepen this knowledge grew and I decided to start training according to Viktor Frankl's theory of meaning. His motto "behind every crisis there is an opportunity" seems more important to me today than ever. This positive approach, which explores and strengthens people's pillars of support, was also a guide for me in times of upheaval and uncertainty. I see stumbling, failure and mishaps as an invitation to grow and to react intuitively, with humor and spontaneity. I also find this approach helpful in everyday life, as a separated mother of two teenagers, an adult daughter and a dog.
A year of research in NYC also encouraged me to consider not only the individual, but also the social and political systems in which we grow up and which often unconsciously shape our attitudes. Listening, the desire to understand, curiosity and respect are central aspects of my work as a consultant. I coach in German and English.
ADVICE
EXISTENTIAL COACHING
Existential coaching according to Viktor Frankl/Alfried Längle is the basis of my work as a life and social counselor. It enables a profound examination of existential issues and questions in order to develop a meaningful perspective.
MENOPAUSE COUNSELLING
As a certified menopause counselor, I support women* in shaping this phase of life positively and overcoming challenges constructively. Together we develop individual ways to promote well-being.
HUMOR AS EMPOWERMENT
Using the provocative approach (according to Frank Farally), I use humor to defuse stressful situations and open up new perspectives. In my work, I use humor as a powerful tool to facilitate change. I was able to acquire the relevant theoretical knowledge during research for my doctoral thesis on "Humor as an empowering tactic."
TARGET GROUP: WOMEN*
My offer is aimed specifically at women* who are looking for support in various areas of life. I offer a protected framework to work on gender-specific issues such as social pressure, mental load, relationship issues, menopause, and personal development. The aim is to discover your individual resources in order to lead a fulfilled and authentic life in the here and now.
SCENE WORK
Scene work allows you to recreate stressful situations and try out new courses of action. This creative approach helps you develop new behaviors and promote personal growth.
CULTURE AND VALUES
My approach is shaped by my research in gender studies, social sciences, art and cultural studies, by experience, empathy and values. The person as a social being, torn between self-fulfillment and a sense of community, between power and powerlessness, is the focus of my interest.
RELATIONSHIP ISSUES
As part of the Imago approach, I work with women* on relationship issues to create a deeper connection and better understanding in partnerships. This approach enables constructive discussion and helps to strengthen the relationship.
NONVIOLENT COMMUNICATION
Non-violent communication (according to Marshall Rosenberg) is an important part of my work. Together we develop ways to resolve conflicts in a respectful and appreciative manner and to improve understanding in relationships.
